We wrap up our 2016 Open Hands Clinic on November 22 from 10-noon and follow it with our annual Thanksgiving potluck from noon-2. We then take December off and resume clinic on January 10, 2017. All who have participated with Empty Vessels and Open Hands and their families are welcome at our Thanksgiving meal. If you are attending please contact us and let us know what you are bringing.
It has been a year of growth at Empty Vessels. We are now regularly serving 12-15 people at each Open Hands Clinic. We are present once a quarter at the Molo Village Ladies’ Night Out. In addition we are providing wellness programming to senior adults through Highlands Community Ministry. We have also been present at several community health fairs throughout the year including the Mighty Kindness Festival and the Veteran’s Wellness Expo. On December 3, we will provide care at United Crescent Hill Ministries Santa Sprint.
Looking forward to 2017, we will have several benefit fundraisers where we bring the clinic to UCC churches. We are looking forward to taking the clinic on the road, showing people what we are doing, providing care and raising funds for Empty Vessels. Look for us at St. Andrew UCC in February 2017.
May all have a blessed Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanza, Solstice holiday season and may we see you this year and next at Empty Vessels.
